Internet Marketing On The Cheap

You read that right. How to start online with no money. None, nada, zilch, nothing.
Yes, you can do it. Do I advise it if you have money? No. But, if you must, you must.
So if you must:
1) You will have to start by promoting other people’s products, until you develop your own. I advise, however, from day 1, that you will keep your eye on developing your own product. Look around online. The successful have their own product. Even though they didn’t at first. But now they do.
2) Get your own web site. There are plenty of free ones out there-just run a search on your favorite search engine. But beware—you get what you pay for. So you will want to upgrade as soon as you can.
If you have never programmed, do not fear. There are plenty of good site builders out there, and many are free with the free sites.
3) Get an auto responder. Several auto responder companies have a free version. It will probably be loaded with advertisements, etc. Again, you get what you pay for and should upgrade as soon as you can. Be aware of trying to use your web host’s auto responder. You don’t have the ability to get your IP address white listed by the email companies, so much of your mail will not be delivered. By the way, another tip here: always subscribe to your own list so you know what the email looks like and whether it goes to your inbox or your bulk box.
4) Learn everything you can about traffic generation and take massive action. You need hundreds of visitors a day to do real testing and become successful. Go out and get them. Use every traffic generation technique available, test everything you do, and keep doing what works.
5) Learn to write good sales letters and emails. Write like you talk. Conversationally. Like this article. You will eventually want to buy information on how to write better, but at first you can wing it by studying from others for free.
6) Stick to it. Don’t take any money out of the business. When you make your first 100 dollars, that is not a treat for Friday night. Upgrade your web sites, auto responders, and buy a book on writing good emails. Then next month you can clear 200. Just keep reinvesting, both your money and your time. Starting on a shoestring will be trying, but if you stick with it, it will be worth it.

Internet Marketing Roadblocks

One of the most destructive and productivity robbing things about working online is the easy access to useless surfing, email reading, game playing, and other non-profitable activities online.
You can have a brilliant product, a knowledge of the internet and how to make it work for you, and the willingness to spend several hours a day online, and still fail. Why? One of the biggest reasons is the tendency to “wander” while online.
So how do you control your time online:
Try these tips:
1) BEFORE you sit down at the computer, make a list of things you need to accomplish, and estimate the time it will take.
2) Give yourself a specific amount of time to answer email–15 minutes, perhaps, and learn to answer the important ones first. When the time is up, get to work on the list you made in tip number 1.
3) Limit the time you spend surfing. Again, 15 minutes is a good number.
4) When you are searching for new information about your field or about a new idea, know exactly what you are looking for, and be very focused. It is easy to spend 4 hours looking for new information and reading a lot online, but have very little to show for your time afterwards. If you aren’t finding what you want, wait until later.
5) Determine to take action. Once you have learned how to do something, just do it. Start on it. It is too easy online to just keep gathering information, but never get the real work done.
6) If you work at home, be able to balance your free time and work time. If you are working, don’t stop every ten minutes to do something around the house.
7) At the same time, when you are not working, do not check your email every ten minutes. It can wait until the morning. A dangerous cycle is that you find yourself being distracted when you are working and also when you are not. If you can seriously separate work from home, you will be more productive when you work.
8) Commit to a specific amount of time online every day and stick to it.

Internet Marketing Monetization

What is internet monetization? Monetization is the process of converting an asset to cash, or money. Internet monetization is the conversion of internet assets to cash or money. And effective internet monetization is the process of converting internet assets to cash or money at a rate that exceeds the cost initially invested in the internet asset.
So what does that really mean? It means taking what we own on the internet and converting it to cash in our bank account. You see, no matter how many ebooks, subscribers, or how much traffic we have, if we do not convert it to cash, we are not effectively monetizing our internet assets.
So how do we do it?
First, we start with our internet assets. What are internet assets? Anything online that has the potential, either in the present or in the future, to create a stream of income is an internet asset.
These assets can include, but are not limited to: visitors to our web pages, web sites, landing pages, referral links, ebooks, information we own, information we know, patterns we understand, subscribers on our mailing lists, and anything else online that has the possibility of producing a revenue stream.
How do we monetize these? Ask yourself, how can I create an income stream from each of my internet assets? Just for starters, here are some ideas:
- Internet Asset: Monetization Idea
- Visitors to our web pages: convert into paying customers
- Web sites: Increase conversion rate; add additional streams of income like affiliate links and Adsense revenue
- Landing pages: Convert traffic into subscribers for future monetization; offer confirmation page sales letter
- Referral links: Actively promote them
- Ebooks: Begin promoting them; sell them or give them away to create value
- Information we know: Create an information product–an ebook, audio, or video presentation
Are you getting the picture here?
You should be constantly scouring all of your internet sales process and all of your online activity to determine where you can add in monetization. Begin to think big, to see everything as an income stream, and you will find serious success online!

4 Top Internet Marketing Strategies to Online Success

When you get started online, either you have a budget for advertising and product development or you do not. If you have a budget, you purchase a few online manuals, you learn how to develop a product, you start advertising, and you are in business, hopefully making money in a short period of time.
If you are starting on a shoestring, it may feel like there is just no way at all to get started online and really create a profit. In the next ten minutes, I will show you how to get started online on a shoestring, and how to really make it profitable.
One important thing about starting on a shoestring is that you cannot take any money out of the internet for personal use. Anything that you might earn online should be reinvested right back into your business. I am going to show you a series of steps to take that involve free advertising, free products and tools, and free methods of traffic generation. Although they don’t cost any money, they will cost time, so you will have to be willing to spend a considerable amount of time online at first. Once you begin to develop an income online, you must reinvest that money into paid versions of the services you use. If you do not, you will become burnt out on the time you have to spend online, and you will never really get ahead.
1. The first thing you need to do is determine exactly what kind of an online business you will become involved in. You can develop a product of your own, although if you are just starting out online, I do not recommend it. If you are just starting out, you are much better off promoting someone else’s product while you learn all the other aspects of online business.
2. Next, you need a website. There are several free web site hosting companies that include free site builder software. Just type in “free web hosting” into a search engine and you will have lots of choices. Now, with free, you will usually have limited space, and the site will have advertising on it to support the company. Keep in mind, you are just getting started, so you won’t need a lot of space; once you need it you can upgrade to the paid version. Also, having the advertising is just another price you pay for starting out on a shoestring.
3. The next thing you need is an auto responder, so you can keep in touch with your client list. There are several free versions of paid auto responder services available. Again, they will be limited and have advertising, but again, once you are making money, you can upgrade. Check out Aweber, which is my choice. They offer a great free trial program.
4. Once you have your website and an auto responder service set up, you need to drive traffic to your site. This is where you will spend most of your time. My favorite form of free marketing is article writing and submission.
With article writing and submission, you write articles that are related to the product you are selling or promoting, and submit them to the various article directories. In exchange for the content you allow them to use on their web site, they promote your articles for free. With article marketing, you will get out of it what you put into it. You must write nice quality articles, and write every day. One thing to remember online is that if you want traffic and business everyday, you must work everyday.
