Link Popularity - 3 Top Ebook Strategies For Developing Sales, Links and To Build Your Online Business

If you are Internet marketer who uses article writing is one of your primary marketing techniques, to provide valuable content and develop link popularity, more than likely by now you should be writing several articles a day, as this is the backbone of your traffic effort.  You should be submitting these to the top online article directories, and at least one article per month should be submitted to a full list of high page rank article directories.  This can be done by hand or by using one of the reputable online services that will submit one article to the top article directories for about six dollars.

You should also have submitted your website address to the full list of web directories in order to raise your link popularity; it takes some time for all the web directories to update you, so the sooner you get that done, the better.

You should also be placing your website address on your articles in the form of keyword anchor text which when clicked on will bring someone to your squeeze page. You should also have a few emails in your autoresponder, and perhaps a free giveaway ebook you have created.

Three top e-book pricing and development strategies for developing sales, link popularity and to build your online business are:

1.  As an upsell to your free giveaway e-book you can offer a full-size ebook that you can put at the beginning of your sales funnel and sell for between $10 and $47.

2.  For the first upsell e-book if you are just starting out, I recommend $10 - this allows your customers to get to know you via a low-priced product then increase the price on your second product.

3.  The first ebook you write will be the hardest one to write.  It will take longer to think of topics for your chapters, it will take you longer to write each section and chapter, and it will take longer to edit and proofread.

You will have more difficulty getting each section to ‘line up’ and flow together with each other.  Take my word for this, the second one will be exponentially easier than the first one; that is another great reason to write something short, perhaps 40-60 pages, and offer it at a low price point.  You will have your first one out of the way!  Then you can start on something bigger and it will feel a whole lot easier!

Using the above top three e-book strategies to develop your sales, link popularity and to build your online business will help you grow your Internet marketing efforts in a rapid manner.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - Using Email Campaigns To Develop Links and Grow Your Online Business

As an Internet marketer probably what takes up most of your time each day is continually doing the same marketing techniques which you have found work best for you to develop link popularity and traffic generation. However, one more thing becomes critically important, and that is improving what you are already doing.

For example, if you have one squeeze page that gets a 25% conversion rate and another that gets a 50% conversion rate, then you need to drop the one that has a 25% conversion, send the bulk of your traffic to the one with a 50% conversion, and create another one to test with.  You can also individually test items in your squeeze pages (or web pages, sales copy, etc.), line by line, to see what you can change that will increase your conversion rate or profits.

Split testing is not my area of expertise.  And I will generally not continue to fine tune something once it is quite profitable.  For example, if a squeeze page has a conversion rate of 50% or more, I will generally stop tweaking it. The return on my time by creating additional traffic is much higher than the return on my time by tweaking that squeeze page to get it to a 52% conversion rate.  However, if a squeeze page converts at only 25%, then it is well worth my time to make changes to get that squeeze page up to a 50% conversion rate.

Whether it is split testing your squeeze pages or writing articles, using PPC advertisement or social networking one of the main issues you must keep in mind is to continually develop your link popularity with the top search engines. Without doing this your target niche audience will have a tough time finding you while searching using your keywords. You must continually change your marketing methods in order to use what is most effective for you to climb the search engine ranks to land on the first page of Google for your primary keywords.

More than likely you are using e-mail marketing as one of your relationship building techniques with your subscribers and customers. What else can you do with your e-mail campaign letters?

There are a few main ways that you can monetize your email campaign.  Of course, they are all going to involve sending your subscribers emails that direct them to click through to another web page or sales page.

However, you may choose to sell someone else’s product as an affiliate, and generally receive commissions of between 30% and 70% or you can choose to create your own products from scratch.  In all of these cases, you are going to be sending your subscribers emails which direct them to click a link to go to a sales page, either for the affiliate product or your own product.

So how do you decide which to use?

First of all, whatever decision you make now does not have to be the final decision.  When I first started Internet  marketing, I did not have any of my own products, so everything I sold was an affiliate product.  As I created my own products, I simply added them into my system, and started dropping some of my affiliate links from my promotions.

Whatever type of products or services you are selling online, using your e-mail campaigns to provide content to your subscribers and customers is your primary mission. By continually giving them valuable content in your e-mails, your products and on your website you will develop link popularity with the top search engines and your customers buy them linking to you which will eventually provide you with a higher page ranking.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - Writing Articles To Generate Traffic, Links and Grow Your Online Business

As an Internet marketer article writing is one of the top list building generation  and link popularity techniques that you can use because it is providing your target niche audience with valuable keyword rich content. By using techniques like this to attract visitors to your websites you will begin to not only develop opt ins for your list building measures but also be able to work on relationship building with them so they will buy your products.

If you have been writing articles as he traffic generation techniques, at this point possibly you are writing several articles a day, and not only have a fresh stream of traffic to your web site from the articles you are writing, but you should also have a squeeze page set up for email list opt ins, and you should have created an email campaign.

Like anything with Internet  marketing, you must continue to market your business on a daily basis. This is the same for article writing where you must submit at the least 10 articles per day and do all of the other marketing techniques along with them to give them the greatest exposure in order to build your last as much as possible. I submit on average 20 articles per day to the top online article directories. After two weeks of doing this I was attracting about 10 opt ins to my list each day. After one month that was up to 20 per day, and after two months I was up to 30 opt ins per day.

At this point, if you have followed the minimum article submission suggestions I have noted above you have built the foundation for everything else you will do with your marketing. Your link popularity with the top search engines and your niche target audience will have developed also.

One thing that is important is that the process of writing articles must continue.  Your traffic will die off if you are not continually writing new articles and submitting them to the article directories, especially the top article directories with a page rank of at least five.

However, everything else that you have created, once it is created, continues to work, which is of course what leverages your time in Internet  marketing and allows you to earn greater sums of income from the same amount of time.  For example, once you have created a squeeze page, it continues to collect subscribers without being recreated continually.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - How To Gain Web Site Links Through Article Marketing

July 14, 2010 by DrDaveHale

One of my top Internet marketing methods to gain link popularity through inbound links and subscribers through opt ins is article writing. Most of the top article directories will allow you to insert one or two self-serving links to websites or sales pages within your article content. One thing you need to make sure is that they are direct links to those pages and not redirect links. If the article directories learn that you are using redirect links or the link is not working then they will take your article off of the published directory and notify you. Because one of the primary reasons for writing the article is to develop links you want to make sure that the website address you are using is correct and operating.

Many people starting out with writing articles and submitting them to the top article directories often wonder whether there is a specific format they should write and submit their articles in.

When first starting with your article writing you should just write content because everything else can be reformatted and edited even after the article is published.

Most of the top article directories will be looking for articles of 250-350 words in length. If you have already written articles of 500 plus, that is fine, sometimes you can cut them into two articles - but the most important part, the part that takes the most time, is actually writing - so focus most on that now.

Article marketing is one of the most productive methods of search engine optimization, traffic generation and developing link popularity, but only about 100+ people, worldwide, are actually using it to its fullest extent.  The reason: it is hard to continually produce the content.

The nice thing is, because of it, there is so little real competition, once you start the article marketing process.  Using a software program like Dragon Naturally Speaking, which is a speech recognition program, you can knock out three articles in the same amount of time that would take you to type in one. The average person can only type 40 words per minute but can speak 120 words per minute. So you can see the great benefit in using a program like this. This is how I am able to knock down 20 highly keyword optimized articles per day.

When starting out with article writing for marketing purposes you cannot allow yourself to get discouraged when opt ins are not coming in at a rapid pace. The one thing that you need to do though is used all of the marketing methods you can possibly use in order to develop a greater amount of inbound links and creating a higher amount of link  popularity.

After two weeks of writing and submitting 15 articles per day more than likely you will see that you are receiving about 10 new opt in subscribers per day. As long as you keep with this momentum submitting approximately 100 articles per month in a short two or three months period more than likely you will be up to 20 to 30 subscribers per day. This is a pretty good amount because that will give you between 600 and 900 new subscribers per month.

The trick is to make sure that you are providing valuable keyword optimized content in your articles so your readers will see great value in your material, opt in to the free offer you are giving on your article and hopefully link to your article from their website which will give you a greater amount of inbound links and increase your link popularity within the top search engines.

If  you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - How To Gain Inbound Links Through Repurposing Your Articles

July 12, 2010 by DrDaveHale

One method many online marketers use to develop web popularity and gain inbound links to their website and squeeze pages is through article marketing. The main thing to take advantage of is on each of the articles place one or two self-serving links to your squeeze page and website.

The links that you will have upon the articles should be one that goes to an opt in page or as commonly referred to as a squeeze page. A squeeze page is a single standalone webpage that has one primary purpose — collect the name and e-mail address of a subscriber. Why will they give you their information? You need to be providing some form of valuable content to them in the form of a specific informational product like an e-book, special report or software package which is an irresistible offer in the eyes of a subscriber.

If you have a website, you will want to add your opt in box on every single webpage and make sure that it is above the fold. What is the “fold”, is the bottom portion of the computer screen when the top of the webpage is at the top of the screen. This is like the fold in a magazine or newspaper which is the middle. So as long as your opt in box is above the fold, your website visitors will see it without scrolling down and you will stand a better chance of having them enter their information because they will see your Web form. As long as you are providing valuable information to them in exchange for their personal information you stand a great chance of your subscribers linking to your site which will provide you more link popularity through greater amounts of inbound links.

One practice you can easily implement is by using all of the articles you are submitting to the top article directories and also use them as website content. Users want to change the article a little better or enough that the top search engines will not look at it as duplicate content. If they do see it is this they will not index the webpage and you will not receive any link popularity or inbound links. You also want to make sure that you change the title of the article which you are posting to the webpage but still optimize it by incorporating your primary keywords to the front of the title.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - How To Gain Inbound Links Through Multiple Web Pages

July 9, 2010 by DrDaveHale

When you are first starting out with Internet marketing or designing your first webpage or website you may think of using some type of good software or tools, but still keep in mind you want to have every page of the site interlinked in order to develop a higher link popularity through greater inbound links. There are several things you need to keep in mind when developing a website or squeeze page.

The pages do not need to match your current site, but if they do, that is better. Even though I just said they really do not have to match one good thing to keep in mind is that if you are trying to maintain your brand across everything you are selling whether it be a product or service you will want to incorporate the same type of images and colors on all of your websites and pages.

If you are using a web designer to create your pages for you consider having a template made for the pages on your current site that the designer can use it and only have to possibly change the colors.  If you do, it will make it pretty easy for them to just duplicate the pages and put article content on them.

If not, since all the additional squeeze pages you are developing will likely be for different products which possibly have different colors on the covers and packaging, then as long as all the web pages have the same format, then it will still look professional, even if it is different than the rest of the site if there are multiple pages.  You should be able to get your designer to match the colors between your sites if you choose to maintain brand awareness across all sites.

When developing all of these pages whether they are all on a single website or it is an individual web page you need to make sure that you have links between all of them. Unless it is an individual squeeze page what the links will do is give you greater link popularity which will eventually raise your page ranking within the top search engines allowing that page to come up higher in search results for your particular keywords.

Keep in mind that no matter what other methods you are using for online marketing such as article writing, social bookmarking, pay per click advertisement or social networking sites your main objective is to gain links coming into your site so prospective subscribers and customers will more easily be able to find you during search results.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - How To Develop Back Links Through Article Writing

July 7, 2010 by DrDaveHale

One of the top marketing methods online to gain link popularity through inbound links to your website and sales pages is through article marketing. The majority of the top article directories will allow you to place one or two self-serving links within your articles which go back to your website or sales pages. This provides a means for the reader to click on the link and see what additional information is there that they may be interested in subscribing to. Once they become a subscriber your job is to convert them into a paying customer.

Once people start submitting articles they start thinking that it may be a good idea to use and article submission software program or an article submission company which will send their article content to several hundred article directories. You may think this is a good idea in order to gain a greater amount of inbound links and link popularity for your webpages but many of the directories the articles will be submitted to nobody will ever read the articles in order to become a subscriber. If you are only out to gain links this may be something you want to look into using but it is not something you really have to do.

Once again, if you are writing articles to submit to the top article directories you do not need to use the services of an article submitting company. Many of the article directories are free to join but they also usually have and upgraded premium membership which allows you to upload your articles and schedule them for publishing.

The reason why this practice is good is so all of your articles does not hit the Internet and the Web directories at the same time. If your article directory is submitting your articles also to social networking sites and you are submitting 10 or 20 articles you do not want all of them to hit those networking sites all at once.

This is a good reason to use a premium article publication membership. I usually recommend to submit one article per hour. I am also a firm believer in aggressive marketing through article marketing which basically means submitting 15 to 20 articles per day with an average of 100 articles per week. If you use this method, after about two weeks you will average about 10 opt in subscribers on your squeeze page per day. After a month that will probably go up to 20 subscribers per day, and so on. As the subscribers believe that your content is valuable they will link to your articles or post your content on their website or blog which will give you link popularity through back links to your website and sales pages.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - How To Gain Subscriber Backlinks Through Article Writing

Many people who use article writing as a means of gaining inbound links to their websites and sales pages think about using an article submitter software or hiring an article submitter. The problem with this is that many of the top article directories have such a finicky methods in which you must enter your personal information and article content then the article submitter software will just not work and will kick back the article from the site.

The problem with article submitters is that most of the worthwhile article directories have made it so that they are not compatible with submitters, because of the spammers that send them spam articles via the submitters.  I tried one once and was not happy with it.  Although it is time - consuming, the time you spend submitting articles by hand is well worth your time.

However, there are a few companies that hand-submit your articles to web sites.  I have not used any of these personally, so I cannot vouch for any of them, and if you choose to try them out, do just that - try them out, and test their results.  Just buy one article submission and see if they do it like they say they will.  If they do not, try another.

Remember that one of the primary reasons you are submitting articles is to gain link popularity for your website and sales pages along with inbound links. When readers of your articles believed that it is valuable content they may possibly link to the article or your website along with publishing it on their blog. Another possibility is submitting your content to social bookmarking which will also give you links.

Here is how you track the articles you use with an article submitting company if you choose to use one:  Create an original title (type the title into Google, in quotes, and if it is original, it will come up ‘results not found’).  Then use a different original title with each company you use, and about a week later, type the title, in quotes, into Google.  If they have done their job right, there will be multiple occurrences of your article.  If there are not….I recommend not using them again.

If your article readers grow to know, like and trust you and believe that your content is valuable to them and provides a solution to a problem they may be experiencing in life or in business they will link to your content and will possibly place it on their website and blog with your author reference block on it. What this will do for you is developed link popularity through a back like to your website and sales pages.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - How To Develop Inbound Links Through Article Writing

There are many articles online today on how to make money from article writing, promoting products from clickbank and other affiliate sites but hiding a link to a forwarding website, which is basically called a redirect link. Many people wonder if this is acceptable practice when looked at by the top article directories and when trying to develop link popularity.

Some article directories do not care, most of them, if they catch you, will ask you to stop.  If you do not then they will terminate your account.

What also happens if you place a link within an article and the link later turns bad or possibly you stopped using that domain name, most of the top article directories will let you know that the bad link exists and they will take off your article from the directory until you fix it. Remember that the reason you are adding articles to major article directories is to gain link popularity to your websites and sales pages along with gaining the opt in subscribers. If you do not provide good forwarding website addresses you might as well not even submit the article.

When developing a squeeze page to have your opt in form on it for subscribers to enter their name and e-mail address in order to either sign up for your online content or a free e-book make sure that you are using a good tool to capture e-mail addresses for list building purposes.

One good autoresponder provider is Aweber. When you develop a web form within your account you will be able to copy and paste a code for each list you create - most other autoresponder services will do the same for you - I do not recommend that you try to do the autoresponder yourself on your server - you are much better off with a professional company.

The problem with hosting your own autoresponder or using your web hosts’ autoresponder is that as soon as you start getting SPAM complaints (and if you have a decent sized list at all, you will), then your IP address will be blocked with the different email companies, and then even your regular email won’t go through.  It is far better to spend $20 a month and let a professional do it for you.

When developing your opt in list you want to make sure you are providing valuable content to your subscribers on the list. When they begin to know, like and trust you by you providing them valuable content which provides a solution to a problem they are experiencing in life or in business they will reciprocate by linking to your website thus increasing link popularity for your site.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.

Link Popularity - How To Gain Page Ranking Through Keyword Research

June 28, 2010 by DrDaveHale
Filed under Archive, Blog, July 2010

As an Internet marketer or business owner who is attempting to create a greater online presence, one of the main issues you must pay attention to is link popularity and gaining back links to your website and sales pages in order to develop a higher page ranking on the top search engines.

Many people starting to market their business online have questions regarding keyword research and results and gaining page ranking.

The thing about keyword research is that it is highly subjective.  In addition, there are discrepancies between the various keyword research tools depending on whether they are using Google, Yahoo!, MSN, or a combination of many search engines world wide.  And results vary from month to month, especially on low-volume keywords, and some of the tools use a database rather than live results.

The important thing about keyword research is to remember that it is not the end result - it is just one more tool to help you build your business.  Keyword research is an art, not a science.  You might be competing with 100 other web sites for number one and someone else is competing with 10,000, but perhaps the web site competing with 10,000 gets to #1 first because the quality of the competing web sites was lower.  So you have to look at the quality of the other web sites - things like page rank and how well their pages are optimized.  But there is never a guarantee.  That is why you want to choose at least 10 keywords, work hard on all of them, and hopefully you will end up with 5 top ten results.

When you are conducting keyword research using online tools such as the Google keyword tool, when you put the keyword phrases in “quotes” you will come up with  smaller results.  This is because you are searching for these specific words within the quotation marks.

If you type them in without quotes, and actually look at the search pages, in general you will notice that the ones at the very top of the search page are the ones that have titles that exactly match the keyword phrase (even though it was typed in without quotes).  On down the page, you will see, generally, and of course it varies from keyword to keyword, that the search engine is ‘hunting’ for the words in the first paragraph of content or the description.

By targeted these keyword phrases, you can effectively jump to the top of those search pages, and keep in mind that you are doing nothing tricky  except some research.  If you have been around search engine optimization a while, you have seen a lot of tricky stuff that will help you at first, but then you fall apart in the long run.

Basically what you are doing is using the “quotes” to determine the exact number of competing websites that actually affect you - for example, 3000 results.  If you go
without quotes, you get, for example, 3 million - but you are not competing with 3 million,  if you were to go by hand past the first 10 pages of results, in most cases, you will find that many of the pages are not  really relevant - and as soon as your web page is relevant, and indexed, then it will begin to climb.  You should also notice that many times the results in the top ten are the same whether you use quotes or not.

If you are out to attract prospective customers and develop your online presence and exposure, you owe it to yourself and the financial future of your business to learn everything you can about Internet marketing.
